Puncture protection - your invisible friend
Optimal puncture protection is a central criterion in the long evolution of our touring bike tires. The Marathon Mondial enjoys the all-round protection of Double Defense Technology.
As a touring bike tire of this caliber, the Marathon Mondial also has to impress on the road as well as rough terrain. We address this with an optimal balance of smooth running and durability. The Marathon Mondial rolls smoothly on asphalt but also offers extreme load capacity for heavy luggage for off-road use - up to 150 kilograms total weight.
Profile
The Marathon Mondial benefits from our MTB know-how in its tread pattern: Its prominent shoulder lugs are equipped with little grooves, which spread out to allow the lugs to bite into the surface better. This provides stability on loose terrain, round corners and in the wet. The running surface also consists of wide, smooth blocks which roll perfectly on asphalt.
Maximum performance, newest technology: For bigger adventures we recommend the PRO version since it is equipped with Double Defense Pro and V Guard to offer even more puncture protection and maximum reliability.
Tube or tubeless?
The Marathon Mondial is now also available as a tubeless tire for the first time – in the PRO version too. This adds even more puncture protection at even lower tire pressures.
