SCHWALBE LAB

Setting the pace for innovation

“WE NOT ONLY WANT TO SUPPLY OUR CUSTOMERS WITH THE BEST PRODUCT, BUT ALSO WITH ABSOLUTE WORLD FIRSTS”

Every innovation starts with our firm conviction that even the best tire can be made even better. This requires precise analysis, a vision - and the courage to tackle new ideas. This is the origin of Schwalbe, which is how the first Marathon was created

What is the Schwalbe LAB?

We let ourselves be inspired in the Schwalbe LAB. From experts within and without. This is the only way to create the next innovations of the future. New standards in all areas. This is what the Schwalbe LAB stands for. New technologies that are tested and developed with athletes are then also used in everyday tires, making them available to every cyclist. In the Schwalbe Lab, we work together with athletes to refine new technologies.

Full of confidence that this will lead to ideas for the product range of the future. Schwalbe Lab products set the pace for innovation. For example, we developed the world's fastest downhill tire in collaboration with the professionals in the Schwalbe LAB: Tacky Chan. In 2017, Patrick Lange was the first to win the Ironman World Championship Hawaii without a tube in his tire. Thanks to our tubeless setup for maximum performance on a road bike.

Our tireless research in the Schwalbe LAB produces world firsts: like the Schwalbe Recycling System. The first holistic tire recycling process that saves 80 percent CO2 compared to the usual incineration process. Sometimes our developments are a little ahead of their time: Like the ProCore dual chamber system. For us, setbacks are part of the process, we continue on our way. Full of confidence for the next breakthrough.

INNOVATIONS FROM THE LAB

The Schwalbe LAB is our pacemaker for innovation, so to speak. We can put new materials through their paces and produce the optimum tire for a wide variety of scenarios.
