SAFE UNDER EXTREME LOADS
The Pick-Up was our first cargo bike tire and as ever, it remains a benchmark for puncture protection under extreme loads. Whether taking your kids to nursery or delivering the latest trend to a customer, you can rely on the Motion Pick-Up: Privately and professionally! With its high volume, compound, construction and tread, it always gets you and your luggage to their destination.
SUPER DEFENSE
The Motion Pick-Up gets its high puncture protection from the extremely stable six-layer 67-EPI double carcass which we have developed especially for cargo bike tires. It effectively prevents punctures and piercings reaching our second highest puncture protection level 6+ – the highest aside from our flat-less tire series. Hence we call it “Super Defense”.
FAIR AND RESOURCE EFFICIENT
We have the know-how and manufacturing technology to make bike tires extraordinarily environmentally friendly – without compromising on performance. Hence we produce our Motion Pick-Up with recycled carbon black (rCB) from our Schwalbe tire recycling. Find out how it works here. SAFETY THROUGH TECHNOLOGY
TREAD EXPLAINED
With its large, interlocking center blocks, the Motion Pick-Up offers a wide tread. The smaller blocks in the side surfaces and shoulder areas are strong diamonds which deliver enormous grip when cornering, in the wet and on uneven surfaces.
ADDIX E-COMPOUND
We use the compound ADDIX E, which we specially developed for e-bikes, in the Pick-Up. It combines maximum durability with low rolling resistance and exceptional grip even at high speeds.
TIRE PRESSURE
Since the system weight of your transport bike can vary hugely (i.e., you + bicycle + cargo), you should check the tire pressure regularly. The Motion Pick-Up needs a minimum of 2.5 and maximum 4 or 4.5 bar. If necessary, you can adjust it with a good pump – but make sure you have a manometer! In fact, the tire's extremely sturdy construction makes the thumb test not very reliable.
CONSTANT PERFORMANCE IN GREAT VARIETY
The range of tire sizes is particularly wide for cargo bikes. That’s why the Motion Pick-Up comes in six diameters from 16 to 27.5 inch as well as even more widths. All versions are ECE R75 certified (E50), suitable for fast S-pedelecs too. It is a clincher tire, ridden with an tube and also has a white reflective strip on the side wall.
