Schwalbe tubes are 100% recyclable.

We have been recycling bicycle tubes since 2015 and use the recycled material in the production of new tubes without any loss of quality! The recycling process takes place directly at the point of recycling using our specially developed devulcanization process: our plant in Indonesia. The energy balance is extremely positive when all transport routes are taken into account: only a fifth of the energy is used compared to the production of the same amount of new butyl.

Schwalbe tube recycling was awarded the Eurobike Green Award 2015, the Green Concept Award 2020 and the German Sustainability Award 2021.

HOW IT WORKS

THE CARTON:

Collect tubes in a box. Any cardboard box may be used.

THE MEAS:

The girth of the package may not exceed 300cm.

Girth = 1x length 2x width + 2x height

THEY WEIGHT:

Minimum: 15kg (about 90 tubes)
Maximum:18kg (about 110 tubes)

IMPORTANT INFO ON POSSIBLE COSTS:

The return of old tubes is free of charge for you. However, if you schedule a pickup on the same working day or send in a package that exceeds the weight of 18kg or the girth of 300cm, this may result in higher costs. In this case we reserve the right to charge all additional cost incurred to the sender.

THE CONTENT:

Please only collect used butyl bicycle inner tubes in a package! All brands are allowed!

Attention! Please do not send back hoses that are filled with sealing milk! The sealing milk escapes and soaks through the boxes during transport.

THE SHIPPING:

Sobald genug Schläuche gesammelt sind (min. 15kg, max. 18kg), Paket zukleben (am besten mit Papier Klebeband, um ein sortenreines Verpackungsrecycling zu ermöglichen), Paketschein ausdrucken und gut sichtbar auf der größten Fläche des Kartons anbringen.
