Motion Big Apple
Schwalbe’s Motion Big Apple – a tire that makes a mark thanks to modern design and the highest standards of environmentally friendliness.
This is the direct successor to Big Ben and the previous model of the Big Apple.
Environmentally friendly tires:
- Addix Green: Schwalbe’s most environmentally friendly compound contains 80% renewable and recycled materials while maintaining the same performance: It uses 100% recovered Carbon Black (rCB) from Schwalbe’s tire recycling.
- Made from 100% fair-trade natural rubber.
- Lower price versions of the Big Apple are made with Schwalbe’s Green Compound which also has a high proportion of recycled and renewable materials.
Comfort and cushioning
With low tire pressure, the Schwalbe Motion Big Apple absorbs every bump and easily rolls over asphalt and forest trails. Its large volume provides absolute comfort and cushioning – all without any complicated suspension systems. The tread pattern uses modern design elements which can also be found on the sidewall structure of the Motion Big Apple.
Intended use
The Motion Big Apple is suitable for e-bikes in the touring and urban segment as well as trekking and city-bikes without a motor. For the daily work commute and also classic cycle tours. The Big Apple is also a good choice for kids’ bikes and non-motorized cargo bikes.
New Motion product range
The Motion Big Apple is also the first touring tire in Schwalbe’s new product range structure. Motion represents a new product range in Schwalbe’s City/Tour segment – in addition to the well-known Marathon range. Further tires in the Motion range will be introduced in 2026.
